A little reality-check about being an entrepreneur – it’s not the easy path. Don’t believe what most people are shouting at you or showing you on social media. It’s frickin’ tough some days. You know it and I know it.
Yes, it can be a hugely rewarding path and yes, it can be the path to all your dreams come true. But it’s about as easy as me saying no to my morning coffee.
You’ll need to grow and develop certain characteristics if you are going to make it as an entrepreneur. A whole lot of resilience and a mindset for success are required, as well as a clear vision and a commitment to your passion.
Lots of entrepreneurs give up too soon, when the reality of building a business hits them, because they think they don’t have what it takes to be successful. What they don’t realise is that almost NOBODY is naturally gifted with these traits.
Nobody just naturally has a mindset for success
Successful people have created themselves as an entrepreneur. They have worked on themselves, improved their mind, tried and learnt, fallen down, picked themselves up again, invested in their personal growth as well as their business.
It’s not always easy but it is definitely doable. They did it and they are not different to you. Don’t give up because you think you’re not good enough. Be honest with yourself about what you need to develop. Most importantly, do something to make it happen.
If you want to be stronger and more resilient in your business, feeling excited about it and ready to handle whatever comes your way, join me for my free livestream series, 1-3 October. In this livestream series you'll learn how to keep showing up for success no matter what. See you there, click for details.
If you’ve got big dreams and goals, chances are you’ve already come across a naysayer or two.
Someone in your family thinks you should ‘just be a little more realistic’. Perhaps your partner doesn’t understand why you are pouring your heart and soul into something that isn’t paying big bucks (yet). Your friends might want you to be like ‘in the good old days’ and everyone around you seems more interested in living weekends instead of living every day.
Sometimes our dreams and goals are too big for the people around us.
It can be lonely, frustrating and worse, it can make you begin to doubt yourself.
There is a simple solution though and no, you do not have to disown everybody in your life or move to another state. It’s true, you might need some new friends, some new inspiration and role models.
The good part, there are many ways to find them (see some of my suggestions below).
I don’t want to be average!
Have you ever heard that you become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with? Jim Rhone (motivational speaker and mentor to Tony Robbins) totally understood the importance of staying inspired and accountable when he said this.
But sometimes our dreams and goals are too big for our current environment (aka 5 people we spend the most time with). So what do we do?
Follow these easy steps and stay focused on your beautiful, abundant future.
You don’t owe anybody anything and you are free to create a life and business you truly love. Don’t be average when you have every opportunity to be extraordinary.
If you'd like to grow your mindset for success in business and be surrounded by like-minded business entrepreneurs with big goals and dreams, join one or all of my upcoming events. Reignite your excitement and take control of your future.

What’s your biggest enemy in business? Is it the dreaded overwhelm, or perhaps procrastination, imposter syndrome, or self-doubt?
You might indulge in one or several of these. I know I’ve been through them all in a big way and need to keep them at bay ongoing.
In my experience, feeling good and knowing things are working out, kind of comes and goes. Let’s face it, building a business has a more than a few challenges attached to it. I’ve seen someone go from totally on fire one day to crying in the corner the next (ok I have to fess up, it was me). It isn’t pretty but I want to reassure you it’s normal.
But you know what happens in your business when you get stuck in one of these states for too long right? At best nothing happens, at worst you go backwards.
If you get stuck on this emotional roller coaster it will make you very unreliable and unproductive in your business.
I work with most of my clients on this and I want to share it with you today. The number one thing that will change your life and business forever is learning to manage your emotional state. When you feel good, you will naturally take more action. It’s simple and it makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, very few are taught how to effectively do this.
2 easy ways to consistently feel good anywhere, anytime
Now it might a take a little practice to begin. If you’re resisting this idea because it’s too simple and your situation is too complicated, I urge you to try it out just a few times. You’ve got nothing to lose except your bad mood :)
