I don't know about you, but I've been on an emotional roller coaster these past weeks. With so much uncertainty everywhere I've had to work double-time to keep my varying levels of anxiety in check. Here's one of the easiest ways that I know how to change how you're feeling in any given moment. This works so well, especially when you are feeling discouraged, when you feel like life's too tough, when you feel helpless or hopeless. When you feel like everything is a complete disaster. This is just such a simple, simple technique. The key is, of course, like anything, you have to do it. Have you guessed it already? It's gratitude. Gratitude is one of the most powerful ways to change how you feel, not only in the moment, when you feel overloaded or overwhelmed, but to change how you feel about your life. So, if you are having a tough time at the moment, and there's so much going on at the moment, get yourself into gratitude as often as possible. Think about what you're grateful for. It's really, really simple, right? But it's a total game-changer. Write down three things every morning that you're grateful for. Write down three things at night that you're grateful for. If that's not enough, do it more often. If you're having a moment of despair, go to gratitude. That's it. Warning - don't be like most people who think it’s a good idea, but then don't actually write it down. You have to write it down. You have to think about it, feel it, write it down. It's so, so simple and I promise you within just a couple of times of doing that, you are going to feel so much better.
